W7 Photo Shoot Foundation

Awhile back I my have mentioned (I think I did but may have only been to my self) that I wanted to try more W7 products I have one of their mascaras an a nail varnish I love them! The problem with W7 is finding it!
I don't like shopping on line for make up unless its a repurchase or its a brand I already have a lot of.
I found this lil gem for £3.99 in a discount shop. It 28 ml of "16HR photo shoot glass foundation" in the shade buff. I don't know about the photo shoot bit as I didn't take any pictures wearing it (major spot action going on at the moment) an I'm not sure my camera phone in the WC constitutes a photo shoot but I'll give it a go next time I'm wearing it!
My usual baptism of fire for foundation a full week of night shifts an days running round, W7 performed really well!

Good even coverage that I could build a little in the troublesome areas as the week drew on. The formula is a bit thicker than I'm normally used to but its not an issue. I wouldn't say I had the same level of coverage 14 hours after application as there was 10 minutes after (didn't stay awake and fully made up the full 16 hours sorry). There was no noticeable oxidation color change. It did fade a small amount but it faded evenly and didn't leave a streaky mess!
I have only 1 con, (well two if you count the lack of product availability) the bottle is a pour out one, I don't like this in any brand an as this product is a bit thicker than the norm its just a touch annoying! BUT the bottle neck it a 99.99999% match for the Collection 2000 foundation so I cleaned the pump from an empty one of their bottles and "jobs a gooden" !!
I will be repurchasing this, as long as i can find more!

Do you like W7? Do you know where stock them regularly?

MUA Blush Perfection

MUA Blush Perfection

I'm going to give up apologising for MUA posts lol. I love their products and I love to share! So I can't apologies if I'm not sorry :o)

I have been wanting to pick up a cream blush or two for a while but for some reason cream blushes conjure pictures of old (yes even older than me) ladies with streaks of red grease or Aunt Sally like circles.
Aunt Sally for those who don't know who I mean.

So along comes MUA Blush Perfection clearly hearing my psychic plea for something to try that wont cost so much I feel guilty if it doesn't look good on me.
Reflecting on my distrust of cream blush Aunt Sally face, having dry skin and pores I can hide my spare change in they really should have been the way to go....and they are now!
Yummy
 Bittersweet
 Dolly
 Blossom

All 4 are soft and buttery, NOT greasy and dab, smooth and blend effortlessly with a sponge or brush or fingers. I'm definitely feeling the cream blush love and predict more purchases in the future......please recommend other cream blush you love, I might too.

Did Rimmel wake me up?

I've probably made many a reference on here and twitter I work long night shifts and 3 "little angels" don't exactly give me masses of sleeps in the day so I jumped and the shelf an grabbed Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation a while back....an the lost the bag it was in...doh!
Any way I've put it through its paces at all week for work and a parent teacher meeting, shopping etc and its nice. Started the week with a light converge and could build it as the days / nights progressed and my pallor deteriorated lol.
Its the same formula as expected from Rimmel and my other foundations by them. The consistency of double cream smooth an easy to use. I applied it with a stippling brush, a sponge an a foundation brush and worked well with all of them. It does have a very slight shimmer to it which I assume is meant to give you the awake / radiant look but nothing overly so and by the time is done my full face, blush powder etc it wasn't noticeable at all really.

All in all exactly what you expect from Rimmel. A good all round standard high street product good value at £7.99 an I love that packaging but by the end of my shift I still look like I needed a good sleep. I guess there is not substitute for a good rest and relaxation!

MUA Shimmer Kisses.

Yes I know more MUA but what can I say it has to be the least expensive and the best value addiction EVER!!

Went in to get the new creme blushes unfortunately they where not available so I HAD to get something lol. Originally I was not going to get the the shimmer kisses. With my skin type and being generally "older than the Romans" (I do love my kids, honest) I don't go in for much shimmer on my face for fear of looking like a flaky disco ball. But I was there, so where they looking all pretty, shiny and only £3...it was fate really.

You'll have to excuse the pictures, I  took them in doors after dark and on my daughters camera phone, both my phone and camera had flat batteries. I could/should have waited for them to pictured properly BUT I'd have to have waited to use them! lol.

The bornzer in nice, not to dark but well pigmented. As I am of advancing years its probably a bit to shimmery for an all over look on my skin but it is lovely to highlight and use the lighter shades in the corner of my eyes to brighten, quips bow, brow bone an top of cheek bones. It blends out to a lovely sheen but can be built in to a definite sparkly shimmer.

Pink shimmer is awesome! I love shiny, glittery, shimmery things and if its a pink shiny glittery, shimmery BONUS!!! In the pictures it looks really rosy dusky in one and really purple pink in the other. Despite re taking the pictures 4 or 5 times if I altered my camera angle slightly this is what happens. A pink kaleidoscope of shades and having 4 separate blocks its one of those products that you can tailor to you own preference. 1st time I've been pleased by something I want being sold out! As I said must have been fate!

Lip gloss' galore

I think I've said before I'm not normally a lip gloss gal but lately, (probably due to my love affair with the MUA out there glosses) I've been felling the glossy love!

Some Vivo colour wash lip gloss jumped in to my basket on quick nip in to Tesco for milk....(they really shouldn't have them in eye shot lol)
They are £1 each an I picked up the shades: early to rise, lets go, setting sun and raring to go.

They have that lovely caramel vanilla smell thing going on and are fairly tacky but its not like smearing ice cream sauce on your mouth (mini monster's latest trick!).
As you can see the swatches are reasonably pigmented but sheer out a lot on the lip. They do give some subtle colour, a bit more than is showing on my pictures.
What I really like to do with glosses like these is layer them over lip sticks. They work especially well over those "nude shades" that are quite pale and scare me or make me look quite scary depending on your point of view lol.

Oddly enough the next day  was having a little "look" in Superdrug and picked up some bits from MUA (not a surprise to any one) swatches and review coming soon. I didn't see any special offer signs but when I got to the till apparently I had earned a free lip gloss! I asked the sales assistant to just grab which ever one she thought would look good an I came home with shade 2. The formula, smell and pigmentation is incredibly similar an just as lovely! If you don't get a free one they are also only £1.
Its better than an even chance I will be getting more!

Even if your not a huge lover of gloss or have yet to be converted to their wonderment or even just want to have a go at layering with out spending more than you absolutely have to they are really good value and with Christmas coming up would be excellent for a little secret Santa or stocking fillers or just to have in your bag to keep your smile shiny on those many Christmas lunches/after work drinks and general top up.
